Gummy Bears are small, jelly-like candy that originated in Germany. Gummy Bears were created by the extremely popular company, Haribo. The success of gummy bears has spawned many gummy animals and objects: rings, worms, frogs, snakes, hamburgers, cherries, sharks, penguins, hippos, lobsters, octopuses, apples, peaches, oranges, spiders, and even Smurfs!
One special type of gummy bear is the candy-coated gummy bear. They have the delicious chew of a regular gummy bear plus the delightful crunch of a candy coating. There are also many other types of gummy bears, like chocolate-covered gummy bears, sour gummy bears, and even extra-coated bears!
